"Short Stories from Mexico" contains two stories from Mexican legend and folklore which have been written in UK English and Spanish and contains the wonderful illustrations from Rosa Brown. 
This book should be a very good text for language students of English and Spanish to improve their reading skills.
"La Llorona" (The Weeping Lady) tells the tale of a young lady who has two children by the love of her life with the on going hope of marriage. Did she marry him?
"The Elegant Lady" is a folklore tale from northern Mexico about a lady who has not kept a solemn promise during her lifetime in return for the life of her gravely ill son.
