Dawn of the Vikings - Original 3D Wall Art

This original work shows the arrival of the Vikings in their typical longboat. It is made from carefully layered paper and card. Each piece of card has been hand painted using acrylics and ink and using a combination of textures and effects. Afterwards the different shapes are intricately cut and assembled into the final piece you can see.

Living in the United Kingdom, I have been increasingly influenced by our Anglo-Saxon history. This 3D wall art piece shows an Anglo-Saxon royal couple as I have imagined them.
